Humphrey Home Connections Realty Broker Linda Humphrey
Linda Humphrey moved to Reno in 1990 to become a partner in Associated Anesthesiologists of Reno. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 1974 with a BS in Biochemistry, and from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1977. A perpetual student, Linda returned to school in 1995 after reducing her medical practice to part-time. She eventually completed a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering from UNR, then began to search for the next challenge. Over the years, she had begun to invest in single family residential properties, and so the progression to real estate school seemed like a logical step.
After obtaining her license, she joined John Currie in Currie Realty and Investments, Inc., and quickly became embroiled in the real estate crisis. She studied the options available to homeowners in trouble and signed up to be a home retention consultant for Titanium Solutions, which allowed her to help many homeowners restructure their loans and keep their homes. Others were assisted by listing and selling their homes as “short sales”.
Soon, John began to wind down his company and business life, and increase his time spent playing guitar and attending model railroad conventions. He began to hint frequently that retirement was on the horizon. Linda decided she needed to create a new company, and began to analyze the state of the real estate market. Her ideas and projections for the future of real estate, coupled with her recent experience as a real estate investor, led to her vision for the new brokerage, Humphrey Home Connections Realty. She became the Broker of Record for the company in September of 2010.
An outdoor enthusiast, Linda enjoys all the wonderful activities offered in the Reno and Lake Tahoe area. She is an avid runner and cyclist and an occasional triathlete. She also enjoys sailing, backpacking, and travel.
